- During the tour a guide will lead the way so you can easily recognize the route to follow.
- The quads used have automatic transmission and can carry up to two people (driver and passenger).
- Before you leave, you will be provided with the necessary protective equipment, helmet and under-helmet, and instructions on how to use the quad.
- The driver must be at least 18 years old and have a B driver’s license.
- We recommend a minimum age of 6 years for children; women in advanced pregnancy cannot participate.
- Closed shoes and a jacket are required during the colder months. We also recommend sunglasses and bandana/mask (to protect against dust).
Quad Tour Etna Nord - 2 hours
Starting from Rifugio Ragabo, nestled in the Etna Park, you will cross the centuries-old Ragabo Pine Forest, passing through the 1865 eruption and the 2002 lava front, arriving at about 1650m altitude. We will then make a stop to explore (on foot) a lava flow cave, the “Corruccio” Cave.

Quad Tour Etna Nord - 3 hours and 30 minutes
Departing from Rifugio Ragabo, nestled in Etna Park, you will drive among the lava flows of 1865 and 1923, reaching a vantage point with views of the coast of Taormina and Calabria. This will be followed by a stop during which we will explore (on foot) a lava flow cave, the “Corruccio” Cave. Continuing toward the volcano we will reach an altitude of about 1850m arriving at Piano Provenzana, where you will be amazed by the destruction caused by the 2002 eruption. To conclude we will cross the centuries-old Ragabo Pine Forest to return to Rifugio Ragabo.

Quad Tour Etna Nord from Castiglione di Sicilia 4-5 hours
Departure from Agritour Donato (near the Alcantara Gorges) or Castiglione di Sicilia, the starting point will be confirmed at the time of booking. Passing through Castiglione di Sicilia we will arrive at Cerro where the off-road trail up to Etna begins, following the ancient 1929 lava flow. Arriving at the Ragabo Pine Forest, we will visit the ancient “Zappinazzu”, Etna’s largest pine tree. We will then make a stop to explore (on foot) the “Corruccio” Cave. We will then cross the 2002 flow to arrive at about 1500-1600m altitude. After a break, we will set off again to return to the starting point passing through Rovittello and Castiglione di Sicilia.
