What we learned growing up in the shadow of “Idda”
OUR STORY
Chapter I
As children we watched the mountain smoke from our bedroom window. For many it was just a backdrop; for us it was a living presence, and its rumbles at night were a familiar lullaby.
We learned early to read the sky and to tell when “Idda” – “Her”, as we call Etna in Sicily – was calm and when she demanded respect and distance.
Chapter II
Growing up, we realised that keeping this beauty to ourselves would be selfish. But we never wanted to recite a script: we wanted to become interpreters of the volcano.
We studied geology, volcanology and botany and earned the certifications the job requires: not for bureaucracy, but so that every step with our guests is safe and informed.
Chapter III
From Etna we reached the rest of the island: the Alcantara Gorges, Taormina and Isola Bella, the Aeolian and Egadi Islands, Syracuse and the Godfather villages. Today we are a licensed tour operator and a DMC for travel agencies and tour operators worldwide.
In 15 years we have guided more than 100,000 travellers. The way we work has stayed the same: small groups, local guides and a local team you can reach every day.

Vincenzo war ein netter Guide. 19 Jahre 3 Sprachen und viel Verantwortung. Das fand Eich bemerkenswert. Jedoch ist wichtig zu wissen, dass man nicht bis ganz nach Oben bis zum Gipfel kommt. Die Alcantara Schlucht war, aber jetzt nicht so sehenswert.

Amazing trip! Davide was so knowledgeable and spoke great English. Lunch spot was lovely too. Pick up was very easy and they also provided walking shoes as it was snowy on Etna which was very kind! Lots of toilet breaks too which was great!

I enjoyed the trip a lot. We got to see different kind of views of the area and it was not too physically demanding. The food (ravioli in my case) was very good. Our guide Vincenzo was very friendly and made us feel welcome.

Easy going and not much crowded trip. This is not like climbing for Etna :) You just visit south site :) But still nature is beautiful here The lunch was delicious and we feel so much welcome there :)
Fabulous day out hiking on Etna and seeing the Alcantara Gorge. The hike up to the crater was easy enough for anyone to do. Lunch was plentiful and delicious. Our guide. Ross, gave lots of information.

Mycket trevlig och omväxlande tur. Uppskattade speciellt att vandringen vid kratrarna blev lite fysisk och äventyrlig.
Maisemat olivat vielä korkeita odotuksiakin paremmat! Upea reissu! Ruoka peruspastaa, mutta oikein hyvää sellaista. Alcantara kiva ja kalliot eteenkin kauniita ja erikoisia, uimaan ei tarkennuttu näin marraskuussa. Mutta Etnan rinteet olivat kaiken arvoisia!!!

Great day visiting Etna and the gorges. Guide was really knowledgeable. Never rushed at all throughout the day. Lunch was good, with the option to add extras if you wanted. A nice trip if you don't want to take the full trip up to the top, but quite pricey.
