Etna Jeep Tour With Pickup

Exploring Etna jeep tour is a one-of-a-kind experience. Venturing to this active volcano is a rich experience. During the Etna jeep excursion, you will enjoy the breathtaking view of Etna’s slopes. You will have the opportunity to see lava flows, ancient Roman cities and craters still in activity up close. You will also be able to see rural villages overlooking the volcano. Throughout the excursion, one of our experienced chaperones will try to make sure you have the most fun for your experience. It will provide you with interesting information regarding the history, geography, and ecology of Etna. During the hike, you will have the opportunity to enjoy a variety of activities such as hiking, trekking, rock climbing, nature photography, and more. You can also enjoy a walk to the top of the volcano, where you will have the chance to see a breathtaking view of Sicily, visiting some of its craters and volcanic caves. Among ancient sciare (lava flows), 2002 lava front, Ragabo Pine Forest, by mini van (up to 8 people) or Jeep we reach the starting point of the trek. From an altitude of 1650 meters to an altitude of 1700 meters, our hike will continue on foot among the birch paths and side button craters called Sartorius Mountains born from the 1865 eruption of Mount Etna. The road we will take to reach the volcano peaks is the famous Mareneve (recognized by National Geographic as one of the 70 most scenic routes to travel). Once you reach the top you will be able to admire the Ionian Sea, the Nebrodi and Peloritani mountain ranges. Before starting the descent we will visit a lava flow cave, the thieves’ cave, equipped with helmets and flashlights.

The Tour includes a visit to the Castello degli Schiavi nicknamed “Villa Corleone” near Fiumefreddo di Sicilia where you can relive scenes from the film. It was here that the scenes of Part I, which ended with the explosion of the car driven by Apollonia, and the scenes of the last shots of Part III where the Slave Castle is the villa of Don Tommasino, in which Michael holds a meeting before dying alone, were filmed.

Next we will arrive in Savoca, one of the most beautiful villages in Italy, (in the very Bar Vitelli where Don Micheal Corleone asked for Apollonia’s hand).

To conclude our Tour we enter the Church of St. Nicholas, where the wedding scene was set. In fact, these locations immediately appeared suitable to immortalize Coppola’s masterpiece, considered by many to be a must-see.
