During the hike, you will have the opportunity to enjoy a variety of activities such as hiking, trekking, rock climbing, nature photography, and more.

You can also enjoy a walk to the top of the volcano, where you will have the chance to see a breathtaking view of Sicily, visiting some of its craters and volcanic caves.

The Etnae vino excursion will begin by minivan (up to 8 people), showing you unique itineraries of Etna up to 1800m, the ultimate limit reachable by road. The road we will take to reach the volcano peaks is the famous Mareneve (recognized by National Geographic as one of the 70 most scenic routes to travel).

Between 500 and 1,400 meters above sea level are the localities with the most pronounced viticultural vocation, and the most representative vineyards of Etna’s enology. It is to these very vineyards that we owe the oldest appellation of D.O.C. wines.

Among ancient sciare (lava flows), 2002 lava front, Ragabo Pine Forest, the starting point of the trek is reached.

From an elevation of 1650 meters to an elevation of 1700 meters, our hike will continue on foot among the birch paths and side button craters called Sartorius Mountains born from the 1865 eruption of Mount Etna. The road we will take to reach the volcano peaks is the famous Mareneve (recognized by National Geographic as one of the 70 most scenic routes to travel).
Once you reach the top you will be able to admire the Ionian Sea, the Nebrodi and Peloritani mountain ranges.
Before starting the descent we will visit a lava flow cave, the thieves’ cave, equipped with helmets and flashlights.

Once the Etna tour is over, we will reach the Barone Di Miceli family’s estate, the Patria winery, the largest and oldest and among the most important wineries on Etna where an informal sommelier will guide you first through the winery and then a in a tasting of 5 Sicilian wines + 1 passito + 1 grappa, all products made within the winery. Flavors that will make you appreciate the complexity of Etna grapes. A full lunch of appetizer, first course, main course and dessert will be served to you
